OUR HISTORY When the dream becomes reality This is the story of a young couple of winemakers-oenologists who wanted to create their own wine estate in the Lake Biel region. The region was chosen for its typical vineyards and its breathtaking landscape but especially for its diversity. Unfortunately, neither of them had a family estate. A long and challenging road lay ahead until fate gave them a helping hand and enabled the young couple to settle in Tüscherz. Much to their pleasure and that of the wine. Stéphanie Horger My philosophy is to produce quality wines by limiting interventions. During my childhood, I visited a lot of wineries with my parents, which was a little boring at that age. With hindsight, the world of wine seemed to me obvious and to achieve this, I decided to follow a oenologist course in Changins. Together Together, we form a complementary and effective team. Our strength lies in the combination of our skills and in our shared vision of work, which is carried out with love and passion. For us, wine is shared in a moment of conviviality and triggers an emotion during tasting. Marvin Aebischer The vine has always been part of my life, as my grandfather and a cousin were both winemakers. Despite a venture in the world of precision mechanics, I resumed my training as a winemaker. The call of nature was too strong for me to ignore it. My vision is based on respect of the vineyard. THE ADVENTURE JANUARY, 2018 Taking over the vineyard At this period of time, we resume work on the vines and the season begins with pruning the vines to limit the yield and maintain the framework of the vine. SEPTEMBER, 2018 Work in the winery From the beginning of the month right up to the harvest, cleaning and development work is carried out. SEPTEMBER, 2018 Harvest After a year of work in the vineyard, the eagerly-awaited harvest comes upon us. We started on 10 September. This early harvest is a good balance of quality and quantity. A great year to start this adventure. MARCH-APRIL, 2019 Our first vintage The first bottles are already available. Our range consists of the Sélection Cuvées (Chasselas, Œil-de-Perdrix and Pinot Noir) along with some of the Terroir Cuvées (Chardonnay and Pinot Gris). The rest of our selection will be available soon. JUNE, 2019 The opening of the winery On 1 June 2019, the official inauguration of Le Baumli winery turned out to be a wonderful sunny day marked by numerous encounters.
